Rachel Micheletti is a licensed professional counselor, board-certified supervisor for LPC residents in the state of Virginia, certified sex educator, performer, and creative entrepreneur dedicated to helping people reconnect with their most authentic, embodied selves. She holds dual master’s degrees in Addictions Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, bringing a depth of knowledge and expertise to her integrative, client-centered work.
Rachel is the owner and founder of Live Body Brave, a wellness and movement space rooted in self-expression, empowerment, and community. Through Live Body Brave, she offers classes, workshops, and events that blend dance, somatic exploration, and emotional healing—creating an environment where people of all backgrounds can feel safe to explore confidence, identity, and joy in their bodies.
As a therapist trained in EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rachel specializes in supporting clients through trauma, self-esteem challenges, and identity exploration, with a particular passion for gender and sexuality affirmation. As a clinical supervisor, she is also committed to mentoring the next generation of counselors, supporting LPC residents in developing their clinical skills, confidence, and ethical practice. Her approach is compassionate, nonjudgmental, and deeply attuned—helping clients and supervisees alike build resilience while becoming their “favorite selves.”
Rachel is also the director of The Feral Showgirls, an award-winning performing arts group known for their bold, expressive, and empowering performances. Under her leadership, the troupe has built a reputation for celebrating individuality, sensuality, and artistic freedom, while fostering a strong, supportive community among performers and audiences alike.
In addition to her work in dance and therapy, Rachel is the lead singer and songwriter for Rachel and the JellyCats, a band that blends jazz, blues, and rock influences into a sultry, high-energy sound. Her vocal style is inspired by artists like Amy Winehouse, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nina Simone, bringing both emotional depth and raw power to every performance.
Across all of her work—whether in the therapy room, on stage, or in the studio—Rachel is driven by a singular mission: to help people feel more alive, more confident, and more at home in their bodies.

I couldn’t see my worth and was looking toward the future with hopelessness and sadness, not sure of the point of it all.
Reaching this dark place led me to a discovery; I thought about what I was truly afraid of and what the absolute worst that could happen was if I started to say yes. I knew I probably couldn’t feel much worse than I already did, and this somehow began to diminish my fears. I took a chance and started to say YES. Yes to myself. Yes to my value. Yes to new experiences and love and delight and wonder.
